On the 21st of September, Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Kuala Lumpur held an international forum for Malaysian state representatives, media and diplomats, dedicated to the 4th Eastern Economic Forum, taking place in Russian city Vladivostok from 11 to 13 September this year. The event was organized by The Trade Representative Office of Russian Federation in Malaysia together with Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Malaysia.
During official press conference, The Head of Trade Representative S. V. Slizkov and A. A. Stepanov emphasized on importance of the forum as a tool for building strong relations between Russia and East Asian countries and other important issues discussed during the forum such as bilateral activities, in particular the meeting of President Vladimir Putin with the leaders of China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Mongolia. Furthermore, acquisition of new “business contacts” was one of the main discussions during the forum. The Trade Representative Office is looking forward to see Malaysia as an active participator in Eastern Economic Forum next year.
The conference was attended by Amb. Ismail Salam the Undersecretary for European Division of the Bilateral Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
