Flute and piano recital at the Russian centre of Science and Culture in Kuala Lumpur

On the 27th of October, Russian Centre of Science and Culture hosted a classical music flute and piano recital by talented musicians Foo Chie Haur (flute), Zhang Chi (piano) and a special guest musician Midori Suzuki (bassoon). 
Chie Haur is currently a principal flutist with Malaysian National Symphony Orchestra. Being a chamber musician as well as the soloist, he has appeared in several musical events around Malaysia: in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru. His professional orchestral experience also includes participation in  Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and Macau Orchestra. 
The pianist Zhang Chi currently resides in Penang, Malaysia. Graduated from Monash University, Australia, he travelled with his concerts around Europe, China, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand and often gives master classes in his free time. He has already performed at the RCSC and actively engaged in many piano recitals, concertos and broadcasting. 
Midori Suzuki is currently a bassoonist with NSO, being actively involved in teaching and performing around Kuala Lumpur city as well. Before she settled down in Malaysia, Midori was selected to join Asian Youth Orchestra in Korea, and performed regularly in Japan as a soloist and chamber musician.
The recital included works by famous composers: Aram Khachaturian, Boehm, Miacchi & Torriani. The concert was attended by the representatives of Russian missions abroad, expats living in Malaysia and Malaysian public. Everyone has truly enjoyed the recital and thanked musicians with long standing ovations. Classical music recitals at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture have already become a tradition that helps to introduce Russian Art to Malaysian public and promote best samples of Russian and World classical music.
